U.S. Ambassador meets representatives of some political parties in Azerbaijan - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

In its response to APA’s query, the embassy said that the U.S. ambassador is constantly meeting with the representatives of the largest political parties in Azerbaijan and thoroughly familiarizing himself with the political environment in Azerbaijan.

Jamil Hasanli, a single candidate of the Democratic Forces’ National Council, Musavat Party chairman Isa Gambar, APFP chairman Ali Karimli, Umid (Hope) Party chairman and presidential candidate Igbal Aghazadeh, EL Movement chairman Eldar Namazov, REAL movement deputy chairman Erkin Gadirli and chairman of Liberal Democrat Party attended the meeting.

The embassy also told that the ambassador plans to meet with YAP deputy chairman and executive secretary Ali Ahmedov next week.

According to opposition parties, they discussed the upcoming presidential elections and socio-political processes n the country.

Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. A meeting with a group party leaders and presidential candidates is being held at the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan.

APA reports that the meeting initiated by Ambassador Richard Morningstar is being attended by Jamil Hasanli, a single candidate of the Democratic Forces’ National Council, Musavat Party chairman Isa Gambar, APFP chairman Ali Karimli, Umid (Hope) Party chairman and presidential candidate Igbal Aghazadeh and others.

They will discuss the upcoming presidential elections and socio-political processes n the country.

The press service of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) told APA that YAP is unaware of the meeting.
