APA reports that the free airtime for presidential elections has been drawn.
CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov said that the debates among the candidates on TV will be available on odd days and an hour on the Public Radio on even days of the week. The Public Radio will launch the election campaign on September 16, 23 days before the elections. The candidates’ speeches will be lively broadcasted at 19:00 and on radio at 21:00. According to the election code’s requirements, airtime will be equally distributed among the candidates.
Following this, sequence of candidates’ speeches on Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company was determined through draw. According to the draw, first, Zahid Oruj will make a speech at the debates. He will be followed by Ilham Aliyev, Igbal Aghazadeh, Ilyas Ismayilov, Hafiz Hajiyev, Faraj Guliyev, Sardar Aliyev, Araz Alizadeh, Gudrat Hasanguliyev and Jamil Hasanli (Authorized members can speak on the behalf of the candidates).
The debate will be organized in the form of a round table.
