Natig Mammadov: â€œThe CECâ€™s decision not to register Rustam Ibrahimbeyov as a presidential candidate has been passed in accordance with the lawâ€

Mammadov said that everything reflected in the decision is known to everyone: “Everyone can comment on the decision. I do not think that every approach is needed to be commented on."

He stressed that the CEC’s decision on Ibrahimbeyov is legal, but persons interested have the right to disagree with that decision: “I am not going to debate on the persons’ appeals to the courts and other bodies against this decision.”

Azerbaijani courts have upheld the CEC’s decision not to register chairman of the National Council of Democratic Forces Rustam Ibrahimbeyov as a presidential candidate. Rustam Ibrahimbeyov announced his decision to appeal to the UN Human Rights Committee.
