Heydar Aliyev Congress Center opened in Gabala

Baku – APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening ceremony of Heydar Aliyev Congress Center in Gabala, APA reports.

The head of the state first met with region residents.

Then the President cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening.

Ample opportunities have been created for organization of international events at the Center. The President was informed that 1,200-seat Heydar Aliyev Congress Center is situated near the bank of Garachay river, Gabala city and total area of the center is 8.5 ha. Designing and construction works of the Center began in May of 2012 and were completed in July of this year.

The building consists of three floors and a basement at a depth of 4.2 meters. The first floor comprises rooms, the 350-seat restaurant and offices. Multi-functional 1,200-seat conference hall is located on the second floor.

President Ilham Aliyev familiarized with the conference hall.

Besides, there is a 92 sq. m. scene, and VIP and security rooms, rooms for art and media, a large foyer.

President Aliyev expressed satisfaction about the done works and gave recommendations.
