Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. Baku Court of Appeal has today considered Chairman of Citizens and Development Party Ali Aliyev’s appeal on annulment of the decision by the Central Election Commission not registering him as a presidential candidate.
The Party’s press service told APA that judge Jahangir Yusifov upheld decision of the CEC.
The Party said that the Party Chairman who disagreed with the decision of the court would appeal to the Supreme Court within the period fixed by law for the annulment of the CEC’s decision.
The court hearing was observed by representatives of election observation mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Ms. Megan Fitzgerald and Shahla Humbatova.
