CEC chairman: â€œThe terms of the Election Code have been seriously violated in some polling stationsâ€

Baku. Ramil Mammadli - APA. “The terms of the Election Code have been seriously violated in some polling stations,” chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said at the press conference at Elections Information Center, APA reports.

CEC chairman said one person stood outside polling station #29 of Jabrayil-Gubadli Constituency Election Commission #120 and prevented the voters from entering.

"The case has been investigated. The person has been identified. This is correspondent of the Azadlig newspaper Aliyev Khagani. One person pretended to be a media representative in Aghdash. It was found out that the document was counterfeit," he said.

CEC chairman said there is information that ballot papers were taken away.

"One person took 10 ballot papers and ran away. The fact has been investigated, the man is being searched. In Zardab the person, who illegally filmed the voting at a polling station, caused disturbance. In Khatai district a woman has taken a ballot paper and refuses to return. All this is intervention in the election process, the aim is to disrupt the process. Such cases may be provocative," he said.
