Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. “The observers can not face restrictions in fulfilling their tasks. No one has the right to impede the activity of election commission,” said the Chairman Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov at the specialized courses on election law for chairpersons of Constituency Election Commissions, APA reports.
The CEC Chairman said that according to the legislation and intention of the observers it is necessary to provide information: “The Commission has no right to avoid the requirements of the Election Code. The other sides should also observe the law. The steps taken against the election process should be eliminated within the law. No one has the right to conform the elections to their own standards.”
Panahov said that the election process must be carried out successfully in all stages: “It is impossible and will be impossible to hold perfectly elections attended by millions of people. Simply, the negative cases in the elections should be minimized.”
Panahov noted that democratic environment of the country allow conduct normal elections.
CEC chairman said about 5 million citizens of Azerbaijan will be able to vote in the upcoming presidential elections. According to him, compared to previous years, the number of voters for polling stations has increased by 1500.
