He said that in the early years of independence some political parties could deceive with populist promises some people, whose outlook was not fully developed, and gain partners from the society with unrealistic, but attractive promises. Now it is the 21st century and people have developed national consciousness, pragmatic thinking and mature outlook. If you compare the positions of citizens, voters who are the main driving force of the elections in different periods, you will see that the Azerbaijani voters are already apprehending whom they will vote for and why: “They understand the activities and intentions of each candidate and aim to make a fully conscious choice between them.”
Hasanov noted that today the voters clearly see that Azerbaijan has reached peak, the image and life of the country has incomparably changed within a short period of time. Now, when conflicts, crisis, hunger and misery are observed in a number of countries having great natural resources, Azerbaijan continues its dynamic development, reminds the island of stability in the world. The author of this progress – the authorities are calm and self-confident, continue the policy based on the will of the people and aims at the will of the voters. On the other hand, voters are clearly evaluating the arguments of the opponents of the current policy and making conscious choice.
