ACSDA and PACE to continue exchange of experience

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Head of the Electoral Headquarter of the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA) Maharram Zulfugarli met with members of the PACE election observation mission led by Robert Walter at the Council of Europe Baku office.

ACSDA told APA that 7 members of the Observation Mission attended the meeting.

Zulfugarli gave information about the activities carried by ACSDA since its establishment, activities of the association regarding upcoming presidential elections, works done by the regional offices of the association, interim report reflecting the results of long-term observation of the association, results of the monitoring on the election-related activity of media, published books and bulletins, trainings held in regions for observers.

Members of PACE observation group informed ACSDA representatives about the works they would carry out regarding presidential elections. They also exchanged views on the pre-election environment. However, they also discussed the process of candidates’ collecting signatures and registration, places allocated for the campaign, activity of the media and others.

ACSDA and PACE observation mission reached an agreement on continuation of the exchange of experience.
