Serdar Jalaloglu: â€œEldar Namazov is not the member of the Movement for Karabakh and Republicâ€

Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œPresident of the Public Forum for Azerbaijan Eldar Namazov has no right to speak on behalf of the Movement for Karabakh and Republic, because he is no more member of the movement,â€ member of the movement, chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Party Serdar Jalaloglu told APA. He said Namazov only participated at the constituent congress of the movement and did not attend any meeting after that.
â€œWe tried to find out whether he was member of the member or not. He told us he was ill, or was abroad. Actually, he did not take part in any event of the movement before the referendum. Participating in the constituent congress does not mean that he is the member of this movement. A number of organizations attended the constituent congress. Eldar Namazov has no official or unofficial activity in the movement,â€ he said.

Serdar Jalaloglu said Namazovâ€™s recent statements, dissatisfaction with the movement were not sincere.
â€œIt means that he deliberately did not participate in the work of the movement. I have not heard his remarks. To tell the truth, I do not regard it as sincere. Before, Eldar Namazov said he did not participate in the process because of other reasons, now he expresses a different view. It shows that he is not sincere. Eldar Namazov is a clever man, I respect him. It requires a great courage to be in the politics. I think Eldar has courage. But I think it is not right to turn his political condition to a public problem. His statement about our movement is a pretext. It seems that he had no intention to participate in the referendum at all,â€ he said.

Eldar Namazov did not give a concrete answer to APAâ€™s question whether he was in the movement or not.
â€œI participated there when the movement was established. Two-week discussions were held for establishing the movement,â€ he said.

Eldar Namazov said some parties had already passed decision on participation in the local elections, but his organization had not determined its position yet.
â€œWe will make decision on the format of participation in the elections after determining our position,â€ he said.
