Milli Majlis ratifies some agreements

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“APA. Milli Majlis discussed a draft law on the protection of rights and freedoms of suspects and accused persons in detention. Deputy chairman of the parliament commission for state-building and legal policy Rovshan Rzayev reported about that, APA reports. Rzayev said the draft law was prepared for protection of rights and freedoms described in the international conventions the country joined. The law regulates relations in the field of rights and freedoms of arrested people. Five-volume and 51-article document was adopted in the first reading.
The parliament ratified an intergovernmental agreement between Azerbaijan and Greece and agreement between the National bank of Azerbaijan and USAID.
Lawmakers have also voted for the amendments and annexes to the law on trade marks and geographic indications and Civil Code.
