Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. “The basic principles on the settlement of Karabakh conflict offered by the co-chairs, Madrid principles do not meet Azerbaijan’s interests. This variant aims to hand over Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia in exchange for five or six regions around Nagorno Karabakh,” says the statement issued by Karabakh Liberation Organization concerning the recent steps taken for the settlement of Karabakh problem, APA reports. The statement says that the attempts of some bodies, people to create positive opinion on the draft document caused serious concern.
“According to the recent proposed document, the so-called regime in Nagorno Karabakh is immediately given the “temporary international status” and international peacekeeping forces are deployed in the region to protect the so-called regime. This variant means full legitimation of the so-called regime by international organizations. If this variant is accepted, no matter when the referendum will be held, Azerbaijan will lose Nagorno Karabakh once and for all,” he said.
Karabakh Liberation Organization says that Azerbaijani government should not sign this dangerous document.
