â€œNew Azerbaijanâ€ campaign group holds its first meeting

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œNew Azerbaijanâ€ campaign group held its first meeting in connection with the preparation for March 18 referendum. APA reports that the meeting was held in the office of YAP Khatai district organization. A number of procedural issues were solved at the meeting. Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary of the party Ali Ahmadov said the group had already been registered in the Central Election Commission (CEC). 25 responsible representatives, 25 lawyers, responsible representative on financial issues of the group were determined at the meeting. The responsible representatives and lawyers were mainly officials of YAP, parliamentarians and public figures.

Member of YAP Political Board Aydin Mirzazadeh was elected member with advisory voice of the group in CEC. Members with advisory voice of the group were determined on 125 election constituencies. Ali Ahmadov said the group would observe all polling stations.

Referendum on amendments and annexes to Azerbaijanâ€™s Constitution will be held on March 18.
