CEC Time Schedule on presidential elections made public

Candidates can appeal the body after announcing decision on elections according to Time Schedule. Citizens, who have active voting right, electorsâ€™ initiative groups, political parties, blocks of political parties, have right to be nominated. After appeals on nominating candidacy, CEC should pass decision whether candidacy will be approved or not and give signature sheets to the candidate within five days. After collecting signatures, candidate should present sheets to CEC at 18.00 till September 5. CEC should check signature sheets within ten days and pass decision whether candidacy will be registered or not and registered candidate is provided with proper plank. CEC publishes the list of registered candidates till September 20 and promotion campaign is started 28 days before voting and stopped 24 hours before voting. CEC should allocate proper sites for promotion campaign till September 17. Observation organizations and citizens can appeal to CEC from announcement of Election Day till 10 days before voting.
Specification of votersâ€™ lists will begin 35 days before the voting and end five days before the election. Polling stations for the voters, who are in foreign countries and registered in consulates, will be established at least 30 days before the elections in the cities, where there are diplomatic offices of Azerbaijan Republic. After the complete registration of the candidates the Central Election Commission will publish and submit the voting bulletins to the election constituencies by October 10 and in their turn election constituencies will submit them to the poling stations by October 12. The voting will start on October 15 at 8.00 and the poling stations will close at 19.00.
Initial information about the voting will be publicized five times a day. The materials of the final protocol of election constituencies and polling stations about the results of the voting will be regularly posted on the website of Elections Information Center on the day of voting and after that. The final protocol of the polling stations about the results of the voting is to be submitted to the election constituencies not later than 24 hours and the final protocol of the election constituencies is to be presented to the Central Election Commission within two days. The final protocol of the Central Election Commission will be submitted to the Constitutional Court by October 24. The candidates, who got less than 3 percent of the votes and spent allocation from the state budget, have to give back the money within 10 days after the results of the elections are announced.
