Special Envoy of OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Heikki Talvitie to visit Azerbaijan

Press service of OSCE Office in Baku told APA that within his two-day visit Ambassador Talvitie will meet with President Ilham Aliyev, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, heads of political parties, media representatives, as well as the ambassadors of OSCE member states to Baku. Heikki Talvitie will hold a press conference on July 30.
Note:Ambassador Heikki Talvitie was born in Viipuri, Finland on September 5, 1939. In 1963 he graduated from the University of Helsinki (Political Sciences) and in 1964 entered the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Heikki Talvitie was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Belgrade (1984-1988), Moscow (1988-1992) and Stockholm (1996-2002). In 1995-96 Heikki Talvitie was Co-Chairman of the Minsk Conference (OSCE) and in 2003-2006 Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus. Since January, 2008 he has been Special Envoy of OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
