SOCAR president meets with French ambassador to Azerbaijan

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov-APA-Economics. President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev met with the ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Gabriel Keller. SOCAR told APA-Economics that Rovnag Abdullayev said State Oil Company and Total of France signed a Treaty on commercial principles and terms of the development of Absheron Offshore Field and Production Sharing Agreement. Noting that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the energy diversification, SOCAR president underlined that serious steps are taken to ensure alternative access of energy resources to the world markets. He said that it is possible to transport the oil and gas produced in the Central Asia through Azerbaijan with transparent tariffs. SOCAR president underlined that necessary work was done for signing Production Sharing Agreement on Absheron Offshore Field and marketing activities continue on the second phase of the development of Shahdeniz field.
Gabriel Keller expressed his hope that Production Sharing Agreement will be signed soon and the joint work will have successful results. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
