Commemorative event held on 15th anniversary of occupation of Aghdam

Baku. Ramil Mammadli-APA. Commemorative event on 15th anniversary of occupation of Aghdam Region by Armenian Armed Forces has been held in Alley of Martyrs, APA reports
Representatives of Aghdam Executive Power, Karabakh Liberty Organization and several organizations laid a wreath on Eternal Flame Complex and prayed. MP Agil Abbas addressing the event noted that the war has not finished yet and occupied territories will not be given to Armenians.
â€œIf our brain, thinking, memory are occupied, Aghdam will be occupied as well. Those, who do not believe in liberty of occupied territories, have not right to live,â€ he said. Moreover, participants visited the graves of martyrs died during fights for Aghdam and Alley of Turkish Martyrs.
Agdam Region, with 1154 square meters area and 147 000 population, was occupied by Armenian armed units on July 23, 1993. Armenians destroyed historical monuments, cemeteries, residential facilities, hospitals, schools and offices in the 77.4% occupied territories of Agdam. More than 6000 Azerbaijanis became martyrs in the battles for Agdam.
