Baku. Ramil Mammadli–APA. “We couldn’t meet all demands of the Council of Europe Venice Commission not because that the Government doesn’t want it, but because the political countries couldn’t find common agreement on this issue”, said Ali Hasanov, Chief of Public Policy Department of the President’s Office. He said OSCE and the Council of Europe were generally satisfied with the amendments to the Electoral Code, APA reports. “The political parties couldn’t find common solution to the election commission issue and therefore we saved the pervious form of the election institutions. We think to hold elections with the existing commissions as there is no better form”. Hasanov said the political parties would be provided with opportunities to hold agitation after the election campaign starts officially. He said information about the places allocated by the executive authorities for the political events during the election process would be published. “All candidates can hold their pre-election meetings and other events in those places”.
