"Strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia is based on mutual trust, strong friendly relations and common interests," Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev said while speaking at a roundtable discussion titled "Georgia-Azerbaijan: Strategic Partnership and a Shared Future" held in Tbilisi, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, relations between the two countries have deep historical roots and are founded on longstanding good-neighborly relations.
"A strong political dialogue has been established between Azerbaijan and Georgia, and more than 130 documents covering various fields have been signed. Intensive visits and contacts at various levels contribute to deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening political dialogue," the ambassador added.
Faig Guliyev noted that this November will mark the 30th anniversary of the opening of Azerbaijan's embassy in Georgia and the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
It should be noted that the roundtable was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia. The discussions, attended by leading Georgian political experts and public figures, focus on the current state and future prospects of the Georgia-Azerbaijan strategic partnership, as well as economic relations between the two countries and cooperation in the South Caucasus.
