Igbal Agazadeh: â€œAll opposition has to be together with me todayâ€

â€œAzadligâ€ blockâ€™s hysterics should be stopped. They sould understand that they canâ€™t fight with all forces in the societyâ€, Igbal Agazadeh, chairman of Umid Party told APA expressing opinion about the recent tensions between his party and â€œAzadligâ€ block. He said Azerbaijan Popular Front Party and Azerbaijan Liberal Party represented in the â€œAzadligâ€ block branded the parties not to coincide with their positions as â€œtraitors to countryâ€. â€œThey condemned those people in working in favor of Azerbaijanâ€™s enemies. It only remains to condemn the politicians, who donâ€™t support them, in working for Armenia. They canâ€™t claim to build the democratic society with such approachesâ€. Agazadeh said he didnâ€™t know why it took place. He said Azerbaijani opposition was floundering within this circle for long years and couldnâ€™t leave it.
He called opposition camp to avoid mutual charges. â€œThere were same charges during presidential elections in 2000, 2003.2005. Oppositional parties should understand that they could not achieve successes and to achieve success should be engaged in productive activityâ€, he said. Agazadeh added that everybody should support him during presidential elections because he was one of the best competitors with the Government.
â€œWe support any oppositional party, if we will feel that he is able to compete stronger than us. As in the past, we have done it. I have work for the victory of democracy in Azerbaijan by now and supported men who led. The people are obliged to see my leading and support me, if they love Azerbaijan like us,â€ he said.
Hasan Karimov, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijani People Front Party sounded strict charges to Agazadeh while giving interview to APA. Karimov noted that leaders of party under influence of the government have to sound such words during pre-election campaign.
â€œIgbal Agazadeh, who took mandate from the government and everybody knows how he has been elected MP, can only sound such words. It is at his competency. It would better Agazadeh to be engaged in other job. He has not right to charge opposition,â€ he said. Karimov assesses Agazadeh as presidential candidate in the view of opposition.
