Azerbaijani Foreign Minister receives newly-appointed Korean ambassador

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received newly-appointed Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Lyu Kuang-chu, Foreign Ministry Press Center told the APA. Elmar Mammadyarov noted that Azerbaijan’s economy is rapidly developing and there exist broad conditions for the activity of Korean businessmen within the large-scaled economic projects both in bilateral sphere and in the region. Touching upon the process of negotiations in the direction of Nagorno Karabakh being held by mediation of international organizations, the minister said that the conflict seriously impedes the establishment of peace and security in the region. The minister stressed the importance of mutual support between our countries within bilateral sphere and international organizations and said that these relations will improve in future.
The ambassador noted that our countries have a number of common aims and stressed that Korean businessmen are interested in investing funds especially in non-oil sector. At the end of the meeting the ambassador presented the copy of his credentials to Elmar Mammadyarov and said he will do his best for improvement of the cooperation between our countries. /APA/
