Nabucco project considering gas supply to Europe accelerated

The construction of Nabucco project accelerated, APA Eastern Europe bureau reports. Danish company Ramboll was selected by the consortium which develops the Nabucco project to draw up the documentation for the bid to procure engineering services. Ramboll will provide consulting services to the consortium in December 2006 – February 2007. Costs of the 3,300-km long Nabucco gas pipeline are estimated at approx. USD 5.8bln. The project refers to the construction of a pipeline to transport natural gas from the Caspian Sea region, Azerbaijan in particular, to Western Europe, along the route Turkey – Bulgaria – Romania – Hungary – Austria. The construction works will be completed in early 2011. Botash (Turkey), OMV (Austria), MOL (Hungary), Bulgargaz (Bulgaria) and Transgaz (Romania) will participate in the constructions./APA/
