Azerbaijani Parliament protests Iran

MP Fazil Mustafa touched upon the issue of raise money at schools and called to take serious measures to prevent such cases.MP Nasib Nasibli proposed to extend the time-limit of parliament discussions and to give an opportunity to the parliamentarians who insisted in giving floor them.

Addressing the issue raised by Fazil Mustafa, Speaker Ogtay Asadov said it needed to deliver such complaints to the Ministry of Education via its hotline. Replying to Nasib Nasibli, the speaker said â€œthe parliament is not a market, and everybody has an opportunity to take the floor when asks itâ€.

MP Igbal Agazadeh spoke about the murder in the Defense Ministryâ€™s Seyfali range. â€œIt is very bad case for the country, which territories are under the occupation. The army needs in reforms. The call-up age should be reduced from 35 to 25 in the Azerbaijani Army because 35-year old soldiers canâ€™t serve together with 18-year old ones and deployment places should be changed frequentlyâ€.

MP Fazail Agamali touched upon the Iranian Chief of General Staff Hasan Firuzabadiâ€™s thoughts about the Israeli presidentâ€™s visit to Azerbaijan. The parliamentarian criticized the Iranian official for his protest against the welcoming of Israeli president in Azerbaijan. â€œWhy they welcome in Tehran the person who committed Khojaly genocide? Azerbaijanâ€™s relevant organizations â€“ foreign ministry, defense ministry have to express their protest against the Firuzabadiâ€™s thoughts. Iran has to end interference in the domestic affairs of Azerbaijanâ€.

MP Arzu Samadbayli offered to send a note to Iran in connection with this. He also said that Azerbaijani embassy should be opened in Israel as a sign of protest. Samadbayli also protested against the arrest of the young people from Musavat.

MP Panah Huseyn objected to merging of municipalities in Azerbaijan.
â€œIt is not right to merge municipalities like this,â€ he said.

Taking a stance on his words the speaker said: â€œYou were informed about the reason of mergingâ€. Panah Huseyn and Ogtay Asadov had a dispute.

First vice-speaker Ziyafat Asgarov called on Panah Huseyn to respect the speaker.

Commenting on Igbal Agazadehâ€™s proposal Asgarov said the law â€œOn the basics of the draftâ€ was amended six months ago.
â€œYou always mention reduce of age limit. We have clarified it. It aims to prevent draft evasion,â€ he said.

Asgarov said the process of dislocation was constantly being carried out in the army.

The Parliament has begun to discuss the issues on the agenda.
