Bahar Muradova: “Azerbaijan is ready to enrich the legislation on missing people, but Armenia must adopt such law as well”

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. “Azerbaijan is ready to adopt laws on the missing people and to undertake certain obligations provided that Armenia must adopt such laws in parallel as well. The obligations have not to be unilateral”, Vice Speaker of Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova said during the discussions of legislative acts on the rights of missing people and their families held jointly with the International Committee of the Red Cross. She said the obligations should be bilateral and Azerbaijan was ready to enrich the legislation in this field. Muradova said the issue was topical for Azerbaijan and 4210 citizens of the country became missing. “3201 of the missing people are military servicemen, 802- civilians and seven of them are not known whether they were servicemen or civilians”.
