Conference â€œImplementation of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights in court practice of Azerbaijanâ€ to be held in Baku tomorrow

Baku. Viktoria Dementieva â€“ APA. The conference â€œImplementation of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights in court practice of Azerbaijanâ€ organized by Azerbaijan Lawyersâ€™ Confederation, Council of Europe and Association of the Judges of the General Courts of Azerbaijan will be held tomorrow, APA reports quoting Council of Europe office in Baku. The aim of the conference is to discuss the judicial reforms carried out after the Decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev dated January 19, 2006, informing of the public about the activities, study of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights, its implementation in the court practice.

Chairman of Azerbaijan Lawyersâ€™ Confederation, chairman of the parliamentâ€™s committee on legal policy and statehood Ali Huseynov, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in Azerbaijan Veronika Kotek, chairman of Association of the Judges of the General Courts of Azerbaijan, chairman of Yasamal district court Aladdin Jafarov will address the opening ceremony of the conference.

Responsible representative of Azerbaijan at the European Court of Human Rights, member of Azerbaijan Lawyersâ€™ Confederation Chingiz Asgarov will make a speech on the issues related to the Decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev dated January 19, 2006, reforms carried out for studying the case law of the European Court of Human Rights.

Head of Azerbaijan Judicial Council, member of Azerbaijan Lawyersâ€™ Confederation Javid Huseynov will make a speech on the judicial reforms carried out in Azerbaijan.

Judge of Azerbaijan Supreme Court, member of Azerbaijan Lawyersâ€™ Confederation Vefaddin Ibayev will deliver a speech on the role of judges in the implementation of the case law of the European Union in court practice of Azerbaijan.
