Azerbaijani President attends the inauguration of Baku Tennis Academy

Baku â€“ APA. Inauguration ceremony of Baku Tennis Academy was held on May 5. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony. The Presidentâ€™s Press Service told APA that President of Azerbaijan Tennis Academy, Chairman of Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov introduced President of Russian Tennis Federation shamil Tarpishev, famous Georgian tennis-player Leyla Meskhi and representatives from Croatia to the head of state.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the official opening of Baku Tennis Academy.

The head of state was informed that a tennis tournament devoted to the 86th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev would be held in this complex on May 5-10.

It was also stated that the Tennis Academy had been constructed in the capital of Azerbaijan for the first time. All conditions have been created in this complex covering 4070 sq.m area. The head of state familiarized himself with all-round conditions created here.
