Azerbaijani Milli Mejlis approves ITV Broadcasting Council

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayevâ€“APA. Milli Mejlis reviewed the issue of changes in the composition of Broadcasting Council of the Public Television and Radio Company (ITV), said Chairman of ITV Broadcasting Council Nizami Jafarov, APA reports. The committee chairman said the ITV Broadcasting Council was elected for two-, four- and six-year terms. Owner, youth and women organizations nominate their candidates for the Council and submit to the Parliament. After the discussions at the Parliament, owner organizationsâ€™ candidate Namig Mammadov, youthâ€™ candidate Fuad Muradov and womenâ€™s candidate Zarifa Salahova were approved as the members of the ITV Broadcasting Council.
