Milli Majlis Chairman Ogtay Asadov meets with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayevâ€“APA. Chairman of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov met with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko. Asadov said Azerbaijan gave great importance to its political, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations with Ukraine. â€œ108 documents have been signed between the two countries so far. These documents created legal basis of our cooperation. Azerbaijan considers Ukraine as its strategic partnerâ€.

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko spoke about his visit to Azerbaijan and said he was satisfied with his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev and the documents signed during the visit. â€œAzerbaijan is a good partner to Ukraine not only in the energy, but other fields of economyâ€.

Victor Yushchenko said Azerbaijanis living in Ukraine took active part in the socio-political life of the country and used all rights and freedoms within the law. The guest said he closely followed the socio-political processes in the South Caucasus and supported rightful cause and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in Nagorno Karabakh problem.
