Switzerland’s Eurovision-2012 representative Sinplus group: “We would like to bring a kind of rock show in Baku†– INTERVIEW – PHOTOSESSION
Hi everybody! We can’t wait to be in Baku…it’ll be one of the biggest experience in our lives!
We’re proud to represent Switzerland and we’ll try our best!
- Switzerland engraved their name to the history of the Eurovision Song Contest as the first winner. What do you think, as the first winner of the contest, Switzerland must take a big responsibility in each year’s contest?
Eurovision started in the 1956 in the italian part of Switzerland, where we come from, and our dream is to bring it back here.
By the way…we think that Switzrland wasn’t lucky in last years, and responsability or not, it’s time to reach a good result!
- To your opinion, which advantages any contestant should have to win the Eurovision Song Contest?
It’s difficult to say cause the Eurovision contest isn’t all about music…the result depends on the performance, the show and public relations.
Anyway, we think that the most important thing is to bring something new, different and to be yourself.
- How do think Sinplus: The victory in Eurovision Song Contest can lead to the future career success?
To be honest, be in the Eurovision Finals is already a good start for us…before the Swiss selections nobody knew us outside Switzerland. Now we’re dealing with the most important labels and we’ve already scheduled a lot of big concerts.
On Eurovision 2012 stage you will perform «Unbreakable" .Which message do you want to transmit to the audience with your rhythmic and already very loved song?
Unbreakable is like all our songs a thought that we try to translate in music. It’s brings a positive and universal message; it tells you to "You can do it". We wanted something very direct, a strong simple message that targets mind and heart of who listens. We so happy that people like it!!!
-How is going the whole preparation process? Are any promo-tours on your schedule for the next months due to contest?
We just came back from a promo tour in Eastern-Europe…amazing! We played in front of thousands of people and the most important thing, we’re growing as persons and as musicians….it’s so great! The 10th of March we’re going to play at the Moldavia National Final and than, we’re going to be in Amsterdam and Bruxelles for two big Eurovision events. We are also working on other chances.
About Unbreakable, we just recorded the new voice and we shot the new video clip…everything should be ready for half march. We’re also preparing the performance…we would like to bring a kind of rock show…will see!
- Have you got any information about other countries’ representatives and songs? Which place are you going to take in this year’s contest?
Yeah…there’s a high level this year…it won’t be easy! About our place in contest….we’re superstitious…better to say: NO comment!
- What would you like to say about Azerbaijan’s victory in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011? Have you heard anything about Baku, where the contest will be held?
We met Ell and Nikki in Belarus…very nice people. We think that their song was really good…and people felt their feelings! About Azerbaijan, we’ve never been there but people who went in Baku, told us that is amazing.
- How do you imagine to yourself the Eurovision Song Contest itself?
BIG BIG SHOW….rock on!
- What would you like to say to Azerbaijan and to Azerbaijani people? Maybe you would like to send a special greeting as “Sinplus
Hi people, we’re so happy to come there…thank you for organizing this big show! See you in Baku and let’s rock the city!
