â€œAzerbaijan petroglyph artâ€ book presented

On Friday, a presentation of the book â€œAzerbaijani petroglyph artâ€ by Director of Gobustan reserve Malahat Farajova was held at the Museum Center in Baku within the framework of 1st Baku International Book Fair-Exhibition, APA reports. Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev spoke about the importance of the book and wished to develop this tradition. Chief of the publishing sector of the ministry Chingiz Alioglu said the book was dedicated to the petroglyph art and its problems in Azerbaijan. The sector chief said the book described the working techniques and stylistic features of the petroglyphs and their cultural-historic qualifications as well. Malahat Farajova said she mentioned the issues of chronology in her book based on the petroglyph stones found in the different layers of culture and archeological materials. The book was published by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
