A meeting of the Working Group on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) was held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on September 14–15, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) told APA-Economics.
During the meeting, attended by head of the Working Group and ADY Deputy Chairman Nijat Guliyev, issues related to optimizing container transportation and freight tariffs were discussed with the aim of increasing the attractiveness of the Middle Corridor and creating favorable conditions for cargo flows.
As a result of the discussions, a protocol was signed on further expanding cooperation in the field of railway transport, increasing the efficiency of freight transportation, as well as developing trade and logistics in the region.
