Nakhchivan plays an important role in the region and has real potential as a connectivity hub, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan Duncan Norman stated in a post on his X account regarding his visit to Nakhchivan, APA reports.
He noted that Nakhchivan could play an important role in future green energy connections between Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Europe, including the Middle Corridor.
The Ambassador emphasized that these opportunities are becoming increasingly important as the region enters an era of peace and greater connectivity.
"The United Kingdom wants to be part of these processes in the future. British experts are already contributing to developments here. A 20-year strategic plan is being developed for Nakhchivan city. We want to do more and support Nakhchivan's sustainable development. This includes urban planning, connectivity and clean energy," Norman added.
