In accordance with the programme of the 21st Men's and 12th Women's World Fire and Rescue Sport Championships being held in Baku, competitions in the 4x100-metre fire relay event took place on November 6, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
The winners and prize-winners were determined following the competitions.
In the men's 4x100-metre fire relay event, the team of the Republic of Belarus took first place, the People's Republic of China finished second, and the Russian Federation's team secured third place.
In the women's competition, the Russian Federation's team took first place, the Republic of Uzbekistan finished second, and the Republic of Belarus secured third place.
Andrey Kulik, Secretary General of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, presented medals to the winners and prize-winners.
The national anthems of the winning countries were played during the award ceremony.
