Russia expelled 63,500 migrants from the country in the first nine months of 2026, APA's Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was noted that certain crimes committed online, public discrediting of the Russian army, calls for sanctions against Russia, and discriminatory actions may serve as grounds for deporting migrants from the country.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that more than 260,000 migrants were banned from entering Russia in the first eight months of 2026.
According to the ministry, this represents a 75.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Most entry bans to Russia are related to administrative expulsion and deportation.
