Participants of the Cooperation Forum of Azerbaijani Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), held today in Ganja, have addressed an appeal to President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
The appeal emphasized that more than 400 civil society representatives participating in the forum felt great pride in making this appeal on the eve of the sixth anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day.
It was noted that today, Azerbaijan is not merely a state that has liberated its territories and restored its sovereignty. Azerbaijan is a state that shapes the political and economic realities of the region, distinguishes itself through its position and voice in the system of international relations, and is becoming a middle power with growing capabilities and influence.
"Azerbaijan's emergence as an initiator of the peace agenda after achieving Victory in the war is an important historical result of your political leadership. Today, the large-scale restoration and reconstruction work being carried out in our liberated territories, the implementation of the Great Return programme, and the construction of modern cities and villages reflect victorious Azerbaijan's vision for the future. The revival of life in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur demonstrates the lasting and irreversible results of our Victory."
The appeal emphasized that Azerbaijani NGOs, as active representatives of civil society, are deeply aware of their responsibilities in this regard and are ready to continue contributing to the protection of the state's national interests, moral and constitutional values.
"We, the Azerbaijani NGOs, stand by you, support you, and are ready to contribute to the implementation of the strategic goals you have set for the development of our state, the protection of our national interests, and the unity and solidarity of our people.
"While watching the amputee football match held with the participation of mine victims as part of the Forum gathered in Ganja, we were once again convinced that no mine and no wound of war can shake the unbreakable spirit of the Azerbaijani people. The determination, love of life and fighting spirit demonstrated by these people on the field were a vivid manifestation of how our Victory has found an eternal place in the hearts of our people.
"On the eve of this significant day, we once again declare that Azerbaijani NGOs fully support the policies implemented under your leadership and look to the future of an independent and powerful Azerbaijan with great confidence.
"Victory is the pride of our people, our sovereignty is the eternal wealth of our state, and our national unity based on the ideology of Azerbaijanism is the guarantee of our future victories!"
