Türkiye’s Minister of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, has been appointed President of COP31, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
The minister said on his X social media account that he feels proud that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has entrusted him with this position:
"Our country, together with its politics, bureaucracy, civil society, and our nation of 86 million, will use this historic opportunity for the benefit of oppressed geographies and our world," Murat Kurum noted.
