Azerbaijan has organized this event at a high level, Serbia’s Minister of Environmental Protection Sara Pavkov said in a video message sent to an international event dedicated to World Environment Day (WED) hosted by Azerbaijan, APA reports.
She stated that Serbia is ready to host World Environment Day 2027 and that Belgrade remains committed to the global environmental agenda.
“Azerbaijan’s high-level hosting of World Environment Day serves as an example for future organizers. Holding World Environment Day 2027 in Belgrade is both an honor and a great responsibility for Serbia,” the minister added.
At the same time, the Serbian minister called on the international community to strengthen cooperation in combating climate change and environmental challenges.
