Within the framework of the “Baku Climate Action Week,” a roundtable on “Steps Toward a Fashion Revolution at UNFCCC COPs and the Latest Trends in Sustainable Fashion” was held, APA reports.
Field experts from Azerbaijan and Europe participated in the event.
During the discussion, it was emphasized that fashion accounts for 8–10% of global carbon emissions but has largely remained outside climate discussions and the focus of climate champions.
Local and international experts discussed ways to integrate the fashion sector into climate action plans, as well as methods to reduce the emissions footprint of materials used in fashion.
