A global action plan has been drawn up to combat climate change, said Dan Ioschpe, the high-level champion for COP30 of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), in a video address on the second day of the “Baku Climate Action Week” platform, APA reports.
“We have a common global climate action plan. In addition, national adaptation plans are being prepared for countries. We will do certain things to monitor and calculate the effectiveness of the measures we have taken,” the high-level representative noted.
“Bizim ümumi bir qlobal iqlim fəaliyyəti planımız var. Bundan başqa, ölkələr üzrə milli adaptasiya planları hazırlanır. Biz gördüyümüz tədbirlərin effektivliyini izləmək və hesablamaq üçün müəyyən işlər görəcəyik”, - Dan Ioschpe qeyd edib.
He noted that several international organizations have turned their promises into reality and made the necessary investments within the framework of the fight against climate change, thus having a positive impact on the lives of millions of people.
Dan Ioschpe stressed the importance of more financial support in the fight against climate change.
