"We support the COP29 Declaration on Water for Climate Action," Steffi Lemke, Federal Minister for Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety, and Consumer Protection of Germany, said during her speech at the high-level opening event of the "Water, the Lifeline for Climate, Nature, and People" held within the framework of COP29, APA reports.
She noted that the Baku Dialogue could contribute to focused discussions and real action: "Secondly, the issue of water must be integrated into all policy areas. Water policy must be systematically integrated into national adaptation plans. We can learn a lot from each other in the field of water management. I am confident that the Baku Dialogue will provide an important platform for this purpose. Germany looks forward to participating in this dialogue. Let us work together to protect our water as the source of life."
