The holding of this forum is an indication that young people are at the center of the priorities of the Azerbaijani government, said Mukhtar Babayev, the Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Climate Issues and President of COP29, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Youth-Led Climate Forum, APA reports.
Babayev noted that taking into account the wishes and interests of young people on issues of great importance to the country is an integral part of youth policy, and environmental issues are no exception.
Note that the Youth-Led Climate Forum, by bringing together various stakeholders, aims to empower young voices, build strong partnerships, and carry the legacy of COP29 into a new phase at COP30.
