The COP29 Presidency will continue its comprehensive work with all parties to make adjustments to unresolved issues, COP29 Lead Negotiator, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev told journalists, APA reports.
“Our main goal is to ensure that all parties achieve the target. At the same time, we will continue to work together to ensure that the final outcome of the conference is as ambitious as possible. I would also like to note that the COP29 Presidency believes that the annual financing of $250 billion is not in line with the fair and ambitious goal. However, it is planned to continue joint activities with other parties. We hope that in the end, progress will be achieved. Because the proposed amount will be revised again. We will be able to give our comments only after a final agreement is reached," the lead negotiator noted.
