"Forests are an example of both visual and acoustic beauty, as they create sounds that are true melodies for our ears," Brazil’s Minister of Environment and Climate, Marina Silva, said during the high-level event titled "Forests for Climate Finance: Forests for Climate Action", held within the framework of COP29, APA reports.

She emphasized that in this context, conserved, protected, and restored forests are our greatest allies and directly contribute to climate balance: "We know that the poorest and most vulnerable people are the ones most affected by climate change, which exacerbates poverty, hunger, and inequality. Protecting forests is not just an ecological issue; it is also a way to ensure that no one is left behind and to align our efforts with the promotion of a just transition."
