"A difficult period in the world requires the CSTO member states to take coordinated and collective measures against new and old threats and challenges. Terrorist and extremist groups are trying to spread their activity in Central Asia. The CSTO should be ready to take adequate preventive measures against threats arising from Afghanistan and ISIS,” said Putin.
The summit of the leaders of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states is being held in Kremlin today. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev, President of Tajikistan Emomalii Rahmon, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha are attending the summit.
