George Bush: â€œUS stands with the democratically-elected government of Georgiaâ€

We insist that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia be respected," said US President George Bush in an interview on CNN. He said Russia has kept certain position in the international political and economic life. â€œHowever Russian troopsâ€™ activity can shadow all positive points Georgia achievedâ€.
George Bush said he ordered Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Tbilisi. He said Secretary Rice would discuss issues related to settlement of Russian-Georgian conflict in Tbilisi. The US expects Russia to stop all military activities in Georgia and withdraw forces that entered in recent days, Bush said. â€œSecretary of Defense Robert Gates is also focusing on the situation around South Ossetia. We will send humanitarian assistance to Georgia via air and marine transport. First plane with humanitarian assistance has already departed for Georgiaâ€.
