Secretary General of the Council of Europe and Chairman-in-Office of the Committee of Ministers to visit Tbilisi

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Terry Davis Secretary General of the Council of Europe and Chairman-in-Office of the Council of Europe (CE) Committee of Ministers, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt will visit Georgia today, CE Office in Azerbaijan told APA.
They will conduct negotiations with Georgian Government to give commitments to international efforts on the peaceful settlement of the conflict.
PACE President Luis Maria de Puig expressed his anxiety on large-scale military operations between Georgia and Russia and regretted for it and noted that Russian military operations were far from peacekeeping mandate.
PACE President called the sides to stop military operations and conduct political dialogue and stop Russiaâ€™s so-called peacekeeping actions.
