Roman Abramovichâ€™s resignation accepted

Moscow-APA. Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev accepted Roman Abramovichâ€™s resignation from the office of the Governor of Chukotka Autonomous District. Kremlin Press-Service said Abramovich resigned at his own request and Roman Kopin replaced him in this office.
Jewish-origin Roma Abramovich was born in Saratov, Russia in 1966. He began his working career in 1987 as a mechanic in the Mosspetsmontaj construction office and began his business activity in 1989 establishing Uyut cooperative toys producer and developed it to the ABK small enterprise in 1991. He became a member of the Sibir Oil Companyâ€™s Board of Directors. He was elected to the State Duma from Chukotka and was elected Chukotka Governor in 2000. Abramovich graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Law. He requested the president to relieve of his governorâ€™s post in December 2006. He bought English Chelsea club in July 2003.
