APA reports that several refuse trucks were brought to the square first, then the policemen started to withdraw the protesters from the square.
It was impossible to film the process, as the police took away the journalists’ cameras.
Georgian media reports that Georgi Khaindrava, State Minister for Conflict Resolution was arrested at the demonstration.
All opposition parties support the rally started on November 1. The protesters demand resignation of president Saakashvili, early parliamentary elections in the spring, not in autumn 2008 as planned, the change of the composition of election commissions and release of political prisoners.
Over 5,000 people attended the rally yesterday. /APA/
