According to the Russian company ‘Water of Crimea’, on July 7 residents of nine towns on the peninsula will be left without water, Mezha reports.
Specifically, this includes parts of Simferopol, Feodosia, Saki, Armyansk, Yani Kapu (Krasnoperekopsk), Kerch, Evpatoria, Dzhankoy, and Bilohirsk. Residents of three districts – Bilohirsk District, Kurman District, and Dzhankoy District – will also be left without water.
According to the official version of the Russian authorities, this is linked to emergency repair works.
Work on the water-supply networks is being carried out to restore water supply and to service the peninsula’s water-supply facilities.
The timeline for restoration has not yet been specified.
After the repairs are completed, water supply is expected to be restored in all of the listed settlements.
