Presentation of 68 Daewoo buses held in Baku

47 of the buses are Daewoo BS 090 (23 seats, 60 passengers) and 21 Daewoo BS 106 (28 seats, 80m passengers).
Isgandar Chandirli, Director of Transgate-Azerbaijan, said the number of buses will reach 200 by the end of this year.
“Under the agreement, a total of 1000 buses will be delivered. The models have CPS system which enables to track a bus through the route. A ticket machine and monitor will also be installed in buses. The selling price of buses is $65,000-$68,000. These buses will be used in in-city public transportation,” he said.
He added that a bus service will be established in Baku in the nearest future.
In accordance with the agreement between Transgate-Azerbaijan and Daewoo Corporation, 200 buses shall be delivered to Azerbaijan. 42 buses were delivered to Baku in September, 26 in early November and the rest will be delivered in January, 2008. /APA-Economics/
